NRAA held a three-day specialized workshop on the management of intermediate records in training hall at NRAA’s headquarter. The workshop was dedicated to 13 employees who are working in records departments and sections from the second batch of the governmental institutions that are covered by records and archives law; namely Supreme Council for Planning, Housing Ministry, Public Authority for Consumer Protection (PACP) with attendance of a staff from NRAA’s Follow-up and Technical Support Department.
The organization of this workshop is an evidence of NRAA’s belief on the importance of developing staff’s capabilities in managing records according to a modern approved system. This workshop aimed at identifying procedures and rules approved in transferring records from offices to repositories after they finished their retention legally set by retention schedules as per specific as well as housekeeping records management system approved in each unit. In addition, this workshop shed light on intermediate records management in repositories, their arrangement, accession mechanism and disposition.
