A three days’ workshop on Intermediate Records Management starting from 14 until 16 December 2015 at NRAA’s building to be concluded tomorrow. A group of 24 records specialists from 6 different governmental bodies that are subjected to the Records and Archives Law participated in the workshop. These 6 bodies include Ministry of Manpower, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources, National Center for Statistics and information, State Audit Institution and Public Authority for Investment Promotion & Export Development along with NRAA’s staff of Follow up and Technical Support Department.
This workshop aims at explaining procedures and regulations of files transferring process from work offices to intermediate records repositories according to the retention period. In addition, it aims at clarifying processes of intermediate records management it the repositories including sorting, access, destroying or transferring them to NRAA.
Sana Al-Sadia a Records and Archives Technicians at NRAA states NRAA believes that organizing such workshops shall contribute in improving staff’s skill and abilities in records management field whick shall promote the performance of dealing with records in future.
