Preparing Special Records Management System of the Supreme Council for Planning
Under the auspices of H.E Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Dhawyani, Chairman of NRAA, and H.E Talal bin Sulaiman Al Rahbi, Deputy Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Planning, NRAA Organized an introductory meeting at the Supreme Council for planning this morning to introduce the method of preparing special records management system. This meeting was attended by number of directors of departments and heads of sections from both sides.
The meeting began with a welcome speech by H.E Deputy Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Planning praising the significant role played by the NRAA in establishing a modern system for managing records and documents. He also states that the Council is willing to cooperation with the NRAA regarding the preparation of the special records management system and looking forward for the system approval.
H.E Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Dhawyani, Chirman of NRAA, explained the role of the NRAA in establishment of a modern system for managing the special records in different bodies. He added that maintain records is a duty of both government and citizens because they protect the rights of future generation. He continued by referring to the plans and projects of the NRAA regarding building a modern records management system in the concerned bodies and its features.
Then, Ishaq Al-Saqri, Director of Quality Control and Supervisor of the Technical Support in NRAA, presented a video displaying the workflow of preparing the system including the work plan and stages and mechanism used in the preparation.
It is worth mentioning that the NRAA has completed nearly 36 governmental bodies in terms of preparation of the procedural tools (classification system and retention tables). NRAA is providing the necessary technical support required for using the procedural tools and follow-up implementation of the system.
