30 January، 2016Muscat, Dec 28 Darwish bin Ismail al-Balushi, Minister Responsible for Financial Affairs adopted at his office today the private document management system, tables of extended retention of documents and their classification system in the presence of Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed al-Dhoyani, Chairman of the National Records and Archives Authority (NRAA).
Al-Balushi explained that the private document management system of the ministry’s system had been well adopted as a committee was formed in the Ministry of Finance, in coordination with NRAA.
He added that it is a system that helps the conservation, protection and classification of documents according to the degree of importance and privacy to make retrieval of these documents easier whenever needed. He pointed out that these are important documents and affect various economic and financial aspects.
About the community benefit from the documents of the Ministry of Finance, he said that the community will benefit from this system particularly researchers from educational institutions, universities and colleges. He added that these documents are considered national and historic documents relating to public finance, economy, budget, oil revenues and others.
NRAA completed the adoption of private document management system to 36 government units. It is hoped to initiate the organization of documents for companies with 25 per cent capital owned by the government starting from the next year.
