Muscat, Dec 16 Sheikh Saif bin Mohammed al-Shabibi, Minister of Housing ratified today the “Private Documents Management System”, shedules of documents extended retention and their system of classification in the presence of Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed al-Dhoyani, Chairman of the National Records and Archives Authority (NRAA) .
NRAA Chairman said that the documents system will enter a new stage in the Ministry of Housing that is added to what the ministry is currently doing in applying the common document system, indicating that the Minister of Housing will issue a decision calling for all departments of the ministry to implement this system after it completed the private document system and the common documents.
He explained that NRAA completed the screening of documents for 9 entities, expecting that all government institutions will be completed by the end of next year. He pointed out that NRAA will apply next year this system to companies and institutions in which the government has shares as a meeting will be held next week to form departments and sections for documents in these institutions and companies.
It should be noted that NRAA completed the adoption of private document management system for thirty-five government units.
