Engineer Badr bin Saud Al-Zaidi, CEO of Vodafone Oman, visited the National Records and Archives Authority and was received by His Excellency Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Dhawyani, Chairman of the NRAA. During the visit, the two sides reviewed the cooperation between the NRAA and Vodafone before a documentary film about the NRAA and its divisions was shown. Then, a presentation was played to introduce the Wosool system, its implementation in the government units, the services provided to the beneficiaries of the system, and the time plan for providing the system to the rest of the government units. The CEO of Vodafone also toured in the different divisions of NRAA including the microfilm section, which is concerned with transferring archival data from old containers to modern electronic containers and processing them in a way that preserves their continuity. He also visited other divisions like the Private Records Department, the Oral History Department, Access to Records Department and the permanent exhibition of records and archives.
Such visit is a great chance of learning about the NRAA and its services, as well as its mutual cooperation with other institutions.
