Housing Ministry Ratifies Private Documents Management System

30 January، 2016Muscat, Dec 21 Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed al-Dhoyani, Chairman of the National Record and Archive Authority (NRAA) received today at NRAA building Hamad Ahmed al-Mohannadi, Secretary General of the Council of Ministers in the sisterly State of Qatar his accompanying delegation, currently visiting the Sultanate.
The meeting reviewed aspects of joint cooperation between the two countries especially in the field of archives and documents. The delegation was briefed on the Sultanate’s experience in the field of documents and archives.
The Omani and Qatari sides discussed the importance role of the documents and archives in all countries of the world that seek to save their history and the construct modern systems for the management of documents and archives.
Chairman of NRAA emphasized the vital role of NRAA, its tasks in enlightening the local and international communities, and the contributions of NRAA in the historical and cultural aspects of the Sultanate through organizing documentary exhibitions and local and international seminars.
Secretary General of the Council of Ministers of Qatar and his accompanying delegation toured various divisions of NRAA. They watched a presentation about NRAA, its goals, duties and responsibilities.
The guest in a statement praised the great work and effort provided by NRAA at the local and international levels and to introduce the countries of the world to the history of the Sultanate and the region through saving, and managing documents and records of the Sultanate.
