Seminar on Nizwa highlights Oman’s rich past

30 January، 2016Muscat, Nov 11 An agreement to lend documents from the National Records and Archives Authority (NRAA) to the National Museum was signed at the NRAA premises today.
Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed al-Dhoyani, Chairman of NRAA and Jamal Hassan al-Moussawi, Acting Director General of the National Museum signed the agreement.
The one-year renewable agreement stipulates the updating of the displayed documents that are provided to the National Museum about the Omani history according to the available halls at the National Museum.
This agreement aims at educating the visitors of the National Museum on the historical and cultural heritage of Oman, represented in the correspondence exchanged between the Imams, Sultans, conventions, maps, photos, newspapers and magazines that talk about the cultural and historical aspects related to Oman.
This cooperation comes in order to stimulate tourism and cultural aspects of the country within the framework of the National Museum’s mission in highlighting the cultural and civilizational heritage of Oman through the different eras.
