مقال باللغة الإنجليزية منشور في مجلة Aramco World المجلد: 56، العدد: 4، بعنوان ” الملاح أحمد بن ماجد” للمؤرخ Paul Lunde يؤكد فيه أن الملاح أحمد بن ماجد مولود في عمان في ، ويتطرق لمؤلفاته وإسهاماته في علم الملاحة.

An article published by Aramco World magazine, vol 56, number 4, entitled “ The Navigator Ahmed Ibn Majid” by the historian and Arabist Paul Lunde. The article affirms that Ahmed Ibn Majid was born in Oman and it refers to his books and contributions in the science of navigation

كتاب باللغة الفرنسية للمستشرق الفرنسي ” غبريال فيغون”، منش ور في 1921-1925م، ذكر فيه أن الملاح أحمد بن ماجد من جلفار في إقليم عمان، وأن جلفار هي وطن ابن ماجد، أرقام الصفحات (196، 197، 206).

A book entitled “INSTRUCTIONS NAUTIQUES ET ROUTIERS AlUBES ET PORTUGAIS” by the French orientalist Gabriel FERRAND and published in 1928. The writer mentions that the navigator Ahmed Ibn Majid is from Julfar in Oman province and Julfar is Ahmed Ibn Majid’s country (pages: 196, 197,206).

Information published in Encyclopaedia of the History of Science, Technology, and Medicine in Non Western Cultures,edited by Helaine Selin, affirms that Ahmed Ibn Majid was born in Oman (page 424).
