معرض المخطوطات

تعد المخطوطات العربية أقدم تراث فكري إنساني وصل سالماً إلى هذا العصر، وكانت هذه المخطوطات من الكثرة بحيث فاقت في عددها وتنوعت موضوعاتها أي تراث فكري عالمي، وقد وصل عددها قرابة الثلاثة ملايين مخطوطة، وهي مبعثرة في مكتبات العالم العربي والإسلامي وبقاع العالم الأخرى، وقد قامت هيئة الوثائق والمحفوظات الوطنية بجمع أكثر من خمسة وسبعين ألف مخطوطة، وللمخطوطات الرقمية النصيب الأوفر مما تحصلت عليه من المكتبات الخاصة بالمواطنين في السلطنة، حيث قامت بتعقيم وترميم وتصوير المخطوطات بأحدث التقنيات العلمية المعتمدة في مؤسسات الأرشيف الدولية، كما اقتنت مخطوطات نفيسة ونادرة من خارج السلطنة من دول مختلفة مثل: فلسطين، واليمن، والسعودية ، الجزائر تونس، تنزانيا، إثيوبيا، فرنسا، روسيا، إيران، الهند الباكستان، والولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وغيرها. ويأتي هذا المعرض الافتراضي ليلقي الضوء على بعضِ أقدم المخطوطات وأنفسها التي تمتلك الهيئة أصولها وتعد أقدم مخطوطة عمرها الخمسمائة عامٍ تقريباً وهي متاحة في مكتبة الهيئة.
