NRAA Signs a Cooperation Memorandum with NSA
On 27th of February 2018, NRAA signed a cooperation memorandum in the field records and archives with National Survey Authority (NSA). The step comes to reflect the interest of the both governmental authorities to unify their efforts and exchange of experiences in the field of records and archives. The memorandum also aims at promoting and utilizing the most modern approaches to take the best advantages of the records, maps and data that contribute in safeguarding the national memory and fostering research field.
The memorandum was signed by NRAA’s Chairman Dr. Hamad Al-Dhawyani and NSA’s Head Air Commodore Ahmed Al-Badi with attendance of a number of chief officers and NRAA’s directors generals.
In the signing meeting, Al-Badi said that this memorandum helps in combining the mutual endeavors of the two national authorities and in exchanging expertise in various related aspects. In this regard, Al-Dhawyani praised NSA’s role in geography and maps drawing in the Sultanate and stated that the two authorities has a similar mission and , thus, it is important to sign such memorandum to serve the national memory of the Sultanate
