This book entitled “The Role of Omanis in Promoting Agriculture in Zanzibar and the Political, Economic and Cultural Results: 1832-1963”, is published as a volume of the “Researches and Studies Series in National and International Records”. It aims at using the studies of researches of specialists and intellectuals from all over the world to achieve objectivity and cover multiple historical periods from academic and scientific perspectives and credibility as possible. Accordingly, the Authority requested Dr. Issa El-Haj Zaidi, Director of the College of Swahili and Foreign Languages at the University of Zanzibar, to use all local and international sources, in particular records, photographs and maps available in Zanzibar archives, as well as records and personal interviews with the residents of Zanzibar and surrounding towns and villages in order to write a paper. This kind of researches enable the reader to see the facts and analyze the historical, social, economic and political positions from an African perspective in order to consolidate the ties of friendship, love and human encounter through the ages to our present time.
The fourth book of the series entitled Islamic Civilization and Culture and the Omani Role in the Historical, Political, Economic and Social Aspects of the East African countries and this book to prove that Omanis played a major role in promoting agriculture and life in Zanzibar and east Africa in the political, economic and cultural aspects.
