This book, entitled “The Researches and Studies Series in National and International Records 6-7”, represents an extension of the series issued by the Authority. This volume is second part of the Lion of the Omani Seas published as the seventh volume of Researches and Studies Series in National and International Records. The study deals with the studies of Europeans and orientalists on the Lion of the Omani Seas and divided into three chapters. The first chapter was devoted to review Ibn Majid’s achievements in European studies for three sections too. The first sections was about French Orientalists and Ibn Majid’s works. The second was on English studies and Ibn Majid’s works, and the third section reviews the Soviet Studies and the works of Ibn Majid. However, these sections are attached with records found by researchers from these countries that present Ibn Majid’s work and his navigational and geographical proficiency and his status in marine science.
