A brief description of the stages of service
There are two ways to register special documents:
1. Visit of the employee to the governorates and the services provided by the Documents Authority:
Complete a registration form (containing citizen / residence / personal / phone data)
Determining the content of documents (their status / number / type).
Maintain an electronic copy of the National Documents and Archives Authority and restore the original owner.
2. Citizen?s visit to the National Documents and Archives Building
Complete a form (containing citizen?s data / residence / ID card / phone)
Sort the documents to determine their type / number / condition
Sterilization of documents
If it needs repair (sent to the restoration department)
Return to the Special Documents section and take an electronic copy
Communicate with the citizen and inform the completion of the registration process for receiving documents.

1. The documents or manuscripts to be restored are of interest to the important interest.
Name and description of the service
Restoration is a technical process based on manual skills in completing incomplete parts of the document and restoring it to its previous condition as much as possible. This service is provided to stakeholders, owners and holders of special documents that are addressed to the National Documents and Archives Authority.

A brief description of the stages of service
1. Complete a receipt form.
2. Complete a form for the restoration department containing the document?s data
3. Taking document sizes / document case / studying acidity of the document and testing the ink
4. The technician or restoration specialist determines the work plan on the document or manuscript and approves the plan
5. Restoration started
6. After the completion of the restoration, the manuscripts are sent for transport and binding
7. Deliver documents to their respective divisions.

The service is provided to owners and holders of special documents who fear their documents are damaged or lost due to their travel outside the Sultanate or any other reasons, with the assets being returned to the owner or holder after the expiry of the term of the secretariat.

Name and description of the service
Oral history is the stories and stories that are transmitted from one generation to another generation, and there is no care and attention to codify them. And carries valuable information in various fields. The Commission conducts interviews with persons who have information in the history, customs and heritage of the country using the latest equipment from cameras and audio recording.
Required approvals (internal and external)
? Elderly people with information about the country and its history, senior officials of the state, civilian or military, elders and dignitaries, judges, governors, teachers, traders, farmers, manufacturers, media professionals, intellectuals, artisans and others.
? Ambassadors accredited to the Sultanate Sultanate?s ambassadors abroad.
? Non-Omani workers (expatriates) who have worked in the Sultanate at the beginning of the blessed Renaissance or before.
A brief description of the stages of service
Communicate with the narrator to take his consent to the interview and agree with him on a date for the preliminary interview
Read the CV of the narrator, and search for all associated information, either personally during the preliminary interview, or through those close to him.
Research the aspects of the interview and its topics and read the related topics, and the survey of information in various sources and references from archives, documents, books, newspapers or periodicals or films and documentaries and others.
Communicate with the narrator to agree with him on the date of the recorded interview, and also agree on where to conduct the meeting.
In case it is necessary to complete the meeting more than once, it is agreed with the narrator on the date of the second meeting, where it is possible to have some meetings for more than 8 or 10 interviews recorded.
Recorded meetings are either in the house of the narrator or in the premises of the Commission within the studio specially prepared for interviews of oral history.
