A Memorandum to Operate Wosool System was Signed at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth
The NRAA signed Today a memorandum to operate the “Wosool” system for managing electronic documents and records at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth as part of the works and activities of the first phase of the “Wosool” project. This project is implemented by the NRAA for 20 governmental bodies in partnership and cooperation with the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology as a strategic partner in the project. The project seeks to provide an appropriate system for managing electronic documents and records that contains the necessary features for handling all parts of document from the moment of its creation until it reaches its final destination in an ideal manner that complies with the National Procedures Guide for Managing the Electronic Document and Records. In fact, the “Wosool” project is one of the national digital transformation projects led by the Authority in line with the implementation of Oman Vision 2040 and seeking to improve the field of records and archives.
The operating memorandum was signed by His Excellency Sayyid Said bin Sultan Al-Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth for Culture, and His Excellency Dr. Hamad bin Mohamme Al-Dhawyani, Chairman of the NRAA.
Al-Dhawyani stated that this project is a secure and integrated system that has been subjected to several examinations. He added that it enables government bodies to communicate with each other, manage records, rapid communication, preserve the access and confidentiality of files and records, and consequently saves time and reduces costs.
Through the signing the operation of this system by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, all users will be able to deal with all records and communicate with various government bodies via the Wasool system.
It is worth noting that the number of bodies and institutions that have adopted the operating of Wosool system has reached 16 out of 20 government bodies within the first phase of the project.
